Football Analyst Chris Sutton Takes On Artist Olly Murs in Top Flight Forecasts

The Gunners' 10-game winning streak came to an end by the Black Cats before the global hiatus, however can the Premier League frontrunners recover against north London rivals Spurs this Sunday?

"{I believe like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this game," remarked football expert Chris Sutton.

"The Spurs manager will attempt to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating best this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's side typically still find a way to win."

Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this term, against artificial intelligence, fans and a variety of guests.

In week 12, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a United supporter.

Murs' latest record, the new release, is available on Friday.

Olly is a skilled footballer as well as a accomplished artist and has been a featured player of multiple charity football games down the years - but he is not intending a professional comeback as a footballer.

"{I recently played in a charity match the other night for a mate of mine," he explained. "The side was losing 3-1 when I was substituted in the second half, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you want!

"I continue to love football, but I hurt my joint a few years ago and it even now hasn't fully recovered. I wish I could play more but the unpredictability of the game means it's too risky for me in my career to do it seriously again.

"Plus I am 41 now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my child or son decides to play instead."

Murs and his spouse Amelia Tank have a young family, Madison and their son, and he is prepared to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming their coach.

"I will not push football on our children but I've already told my wife that if they do get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will probably be coaching their Saturday soccer side," he said.

"I observed my nephews play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I obviously owned a soccer team for a period too.

"My father coached with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I inherited it. He coached our team for two or three seasons and had a wonderful time with it. That could be the future for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Top Division Forecasts

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues might have to be patient for Cole Palmer's comeback from fitness issues but their offense is already stronger with Joao Pedro and Delap both returned to fitness.

I still think this fixture will be fairly close, though. The Clarets are disciplined and their only home losses so far have been against Liverpool and the Gunners.

It smells of a 1-1 tie to me, but I am in fact going to go with the London side to win narrowly for what would be their third consecutive Premier League win in a row.

The expert's prediction: 1-2

Olly's prediction: Chelsea will be superior. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's outlook: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Cherries have been defeated in their previous couple games - albeit both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Villa last time out which shocked me.

On the other hand, West Ham secured two in a row before the international break and, although both of those fixtures were at home, they do look strong again.

West Ham's sole away victory this campaign came at Nottingham Forest in August, when West Ham boss Nuno Espirito Santo was previously that team's coach.

Therefore, what exactly do I go with here - can the Hammers extending their run under Nuno, or Bournemouth responding?

I am going to go with Bournemouth, because I believe what happened against Villa was a blip.

The pundit's prediction: 2-0

The guest's prediction: Bournemouth are doing well but the visitors have picked up under Nuno. 2-2

AI's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were considered one of the frontrunners for the drop before the season started, but they have surprised a few people under their manager and are in good form with three wins in their last four games.

A family member advised me to select Bees forward Igor Thiago in my Fantasy Football squad a few weeks back and, unfortunately, I didn't listen.

Thiago will likely score again on Saturday but I am still not going to select him or support Brentford at Amex Stadium.

They have not had much success on the road this term, and Brighton are always decent at their stadium. The visitors will attempt to hit them on the break but I feel Fabian Hurzeler's side pose much more of a threat.

The analyst's prediction: 2-1

Olly's prediction: This could be one of those games where you think there is going to be a lot of goals but it actually proves to be quite close. 1-1

The computer's prediction: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a massive fixture for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their last six matches.

Fulham have have plenty of talent in their team but it still feels like they could be dragged into a drop zone fight.

Regarding Sunderland, indeed they are the surprise package of the top flight season so far.

Their display in the 2-2 draw with the Gunners last time out was superb. We have not witnessed any other team rough up the Gunners like that this season, and Sunderland were fully competitive for them.

The sensible thing would be to support the visitors here, because they are obviously able of disrupting the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in west London, they defeated the Blues at the close of October.

But I am not choose that. Rather, I really need to continue going against Sunderland with my predictions. I am claiming a lot of responsibility for their positive outcomes because they evidently love to prove me wrong.

Looking at Fulham's at Craven Cottage form, the sole side they have been defeated by is Arsenal. Their manager's side will be extremely desperate for a positive result, so I am going to predict they will pick up three much-needed points.

The expert's forecast: 1-0

Olly's choice: I'm aware Sunderland are performing strongly and also that Fulham are on a bad run... but they have nonetheless been respectable at home this season. 2-0

The algorithm's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

This is a tough fixture to call. The Reds have suffered seven of their past 10 games in all competitions, but might they be one of the teams who profit from the {international break|
