New information has come to light concerning the untimely demises of esteemed filmmaker Rob Reiner and photographer Michele Singer Reiner, whose remains were discovered at their Los Angeles home property on Sunday.

A source indicates quoting a person close to the family, a practitioner scheduled for an appointment was the first to notice something was wrong after failing to get inside the home. This individual then reached out to the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who lives close by.

After gaining access to the house, Romy came upon her father's body. Reports state she then exited the property overwhelmed with grief, without knowing at that moment that her mother's body was also inside. A companion who had gone with her contacted 911. Afterward, first responders located Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Legal Developments

Law enforcement have charged the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with two counts of premeditated murder, along with the alleged use of a deadly weapon, said to be a knife. He is now in custody without bail.

Clarifications

The confidential informant challenged several initial details. It was stated that while Romy Reiner told emergency responders that her brother Nick lived in a separate structure on the estate, she did not identify him as a suspect at that juncture.

He was scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday, but his lawyer, Alan Jackson, stated his client had not been medically cleared and would not appear until Wednesday or later.
